β„•π•šπ•”π• π• became part of SWA

Dear friends, we would like to share some very pleasant news with you.

Two weeks ago we welcomed Nicol to the island. Nicol is an art history student from Masaryk University in Brno (CZ) and she joined us and our Sea-Water Amplification research and education platform for a time to devote herself to her artistic research work concerning the relationship with water, the ocean and more-than-human forces.

…The research focuses on rethinking how we perceive and relate to our world, especially in a time of growing environmental crisis.

Here, thought softens into sensing. Waves, light, air, salt, the sea breathes, alive in ways data can’t hold. Through embodied experience, I begin to understand how everything moves in relation, how even the slightest shifts can be felt, something I am already part of.

Being here deepens what I thought I knew, bringing what often feels abstract into lived experience. Conversations with the SWA collective, shared practice, and the rhythm of the environment begin to open what it might mean to think through the body, to move with forces beyond the human.

I am endlessly grateful for this experience, and for the perspectives it invites me to follow.
