Between 14-21 March 2026, as part of a week-long non-stop voyage, a small group of sailors will circumnavigate the Canary archipelago.
This embodied literacy is always in movement. It puts disappearing tracks into the ocean and elicits a response from the ocean. The ocean then participates in the process of writing and reading. Consciousness returns back to the ocean, integrating not only the conscious mind but also the physical body back into interactive dynamic processes…

On March 12, I made the journey from the Azores to the island of Tenerife. The plan was to sail around the Canary Islands without stopping. The plan failed to materialize for the inclement weather that came in on the night of the 18th. 3 on 19.3. Strong winds reaching speeds of over 40 knots and large waves.
But the voyage was very dynamic. Especially in the early hours. On the contrary, sailing on the engine was very tiring. For myself, I would choose the slow way of sailing.

On the first day of the voyage, we entered the great waves. Half the crew got seasick.

At the airport in Porto, I made a note of a text I had just read. During the crossing from Palau to Taiwan via the traditional canoe Alingano Maisu.

There were stormy days, someone asked the captain. If navigation relies on the stars, how do we find direction when the sky is overcast? Sesario answered quietly. Taiwan is already in our hearts. We navigate with our hearts.
Finding a way isn’t just about navigating the sea. It evolves through many rituals, dialogues, but also literature, shared food, etc.
